Gamma Delta Gathers for Faith, Fellowship, and Sisterhood

On August 8, 2026, Gamma Delta Chapter of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. came together
for a meaningful Sisterhood Church Fellowship filled with faith, reflection, and community.

Sorors, family, and friends joined together in worship and fellowship, supporting one another while sharing a message centered on belonging, hospitality, and making room for others.
The sermon, “Pull Up A Chair,” delivered by Pastor Dr. Juanita Harrison and inspired by Luke 14:15–24, offered a powerful reminder of the welcoming nature of God’s Kingdom. Using the familiar image of “Grandma’s table,” the message described a place of comfort, refuge, shared experiences, and unconditional love.
Three important lessons stood out from the message:
The Invitation Is Open, God’s invitation is extended to everyone without exception.
There Is Always Room, Regardless of a person’s background or circumstances, there is a place for them at the table.
We Are Co Hosts, Not Just Guests, We are called not only to accept the invitation ourselves, but also to welcome others and “pull up a chair” for those seeking a place at the table.
The fellowship was a beautiful opportunity to strengthen the bonds of sisterhood while connecting with family, friends, and the community through faith.
Gamma Delta Chapter extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who joined us for this special time of worship and fellowship. May we continue to make room at the table, extend the invitation, and welcome others with open hearts. 💚🤍
